This is a new cask-strength bottling of Laphroaig 25yo. The whisky is a very different beast to the old 25yo. It has a rich and smouldering taste, with a big coal hit and a lingering seaweed character. Lovely stuff
The barrels for these bottles are personally choosen by the owner Fred and Stewart Laing. They where from the start made for fillings for their blended whiskies King of Scots, John Payer Special and McGibbon Golf.
