Knockando 1994, 14YO, Bourbon Cask

357 Bot­tles in total and fin­ished in a Bour­bon Bar­rel Cask Ref; 4863. Dis­tilled Sep­tem­ber 1994 and bot­tled Jan­u­ary 2009. This is an inde­pen­dent sin­gle cask bot­tling from Dou­glas Laing of Knockando, the major­ity of which nor­mally goes into the J & B blend. Knockando is almost never bot­tled inde­pen­dently, so this is very interesting.

Nose; Roundly spiced, soft fruited, distinctly gristy. Palate; Sweet barley tones preface a drier finale. Finish; Lightly spiced - still dry, even salty now.
