Beekman Bar & Books

Established in 1990, Hudson Bar and Books was the first Bar and Books of the now family of five, the bar was also the first truely dedicated cigar bar to debut on the New York scene.

Hudson Bar and Books is located in one of New York City´s most desirable neighbourhoods, the West Village, surrounded by landmarked townhouses and brownstones, cobblestone streets, yet far enough from the now trendy meat packing district.

Hudson Bar and Books was also the first high-end hotel style bar that is accessable to local residents as well as destination visitors, yet inviting and affordable to all, unlike the usual fancy hotel bars.

The decor is very traditionally continental, with a few whimsical touches such as colonial English monkey sconces and leopard print cusions and of course the classic library, wood panelling, copper bar and tin ceiling. Sophisticated yet comfortable enough for the occasional celebrities to stop by and not feel like they are in the spotlight.

Hudson Bar and Books also sports a fine pavement cafe in the season and the beverage, cigar and snack offerings speak for themselves.

The service and hospitality are overseen by Ms. Adriana Daci and the menu offerings by master mixologist and whiskey afficionado Mr. Benjamin Scorah.
