Allt-á-Bhainne Distillery

Allt-á-Bhainne distillery is sited on the southern slopes of Ben Rinnes, 8 miles south-west of Dufftown.

A modern building of contemporary architecture, built in 1975 by Chivas Brothers Ltd. It was a subsidiary of the Seagram Company of Canada and transferred to Pernod Ricard in 2002. As a reminder of the traditional distillery, four small pagoda roofs were set on the main roof. Allt a’ Bhainne is Gaelic for Burn of Milk. The water comes from a spring on Ben Rinnes.
